Clarity is one of the hardest problems in product management. Features are interpreted differently by different stakeholders, and that ambiguity creates friction.
In this episode of How I PM, Adam Race, Head of Product at ITV, shares how he uses a one-slide summary to create shared understanding and reduce confusion.
Adam’s One-Slide Framework
Each slide answers four questions:
- What is this feature and where does it appear in the product
- What is the current status, from discovery to testing
- Where is the source documentation
- What metric are we trying to move
This slide can be shared repeatedly with stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned without constant re-explaining.
“Everyone is very clear. This is what’s being worked on, this is exactly what the feature is, and this is when I can expect it.” – Adam Race
